Social Night Raises £3000 For Boatshed

Well over 100 people helped make Eskmuthe's fundraiser a massive success, raising over £3000 towards completing our boatshed.

Everyone had fun at the quiz night and auction at Musselburgh Rugby Club - with club members, family and friends joined by rowers from Eastern, Portobello, Boatie Blest & Newhaven. 

The auction alone raised more than £1700, with some very lively and competitive bidding, including an amazing £500 for the yacht trip for 4. Thanks so much to Stuart Macdonald for donating the prize again.

The quiz was won by the MC & Cs team after a wide variety of rounds, including live Name That Tune by Adam Wilson (on ukulele and guitar), a great picture round by Charly and an activity challenge which involved building a structure with paper and tape, set by Wendy.

There was also a (very) random round by Craig, and thanks also to Stephen W, George and David for their efforts. A massive thank you too to Red McGregor, a direct marketing company based in Musselburgh, for sponsoring the whole night and to PA Cooperative for sponsoring the snacks.

Huge thanks too to Fox for running the raffle and to helping David with the auction. There was a brilliant selection of auction prizes, and thanks to all club members who pledged a prize, donated to the raffle or pre-paid for tickets.
